カラータンブラー S

トライタンという樹脂素材に初めて出会った時は衝撃的でした。北欧ブランドの色ガラスのコップ？ と勘違いするほど見た目の質感がガラスそのもので、持った感触でようやく樹脂だとわかるほど。誰もが驚きを隠せない素材を使って、カラータンブラー Sを作りました。
 
 
It gave me a shock when I first met Tritan. Although it’s a resin material, it’s so transparent like glass, we could not tell if it was made of resin until I held it in my hands. We have managed to create our Colour tumbler S using such an astonishing material.

ガラスではないので、割れません。使っていてもケガをすることがないのでお子さまでも安全にお使いいただけます。 同じくらいの容量のタンブラーS（ガラス）と比べると、重さは半分以下の96g。重いコップが持ちにくくなってきたな、と感じているお年寄りにもおすすめです。
二段になったカタチで、段差を利用してクイっと持てます。双円の「二つの円」を踏襲しつつ、持ちやすさを考えた機能的なデザインです。
カラータンブラーSは容量が210mlと、タンブラーSよりも少しだけ小ぶりなサイズ。お茶やジュースを飲むグラスとして、ヨーグルトなどのデザート用のカップとして、そばちょこのようにちょっとしたおかずを入れる器として。そんなふうに色々な使い方ができるのがいいところです。
100度までの耐熱なので、熱いお茶を入れても大丈夫。これも普通のガラスにはない特徴です。
 
 
Since it is not glass, it doesn't shatter. Therefore it's suitable for use by children too. Compared to our Tumbler S (glass), it weighs less than a half 96g, allowing an effortless use for anyone including elders. Just like other Soen cups, the practical double circle design allows the neck to acts as a catch for an easy grip, Having 210 ml capacity, our Colour tumbler S is just slightly smaller than Tumbler S (240ml). It can have a variety of uses including cups for any soft drinks to drink daily, as a cup for desserts or even putting small side dishes. Another characteristic that stands out from ordinary glassware, is that it is resistant to heat up to 100℃, allowing hot water straight from the kettle to be poured into the cup.

軽くて割れない、熱さもOKということは、自宅の庭でバーベキューパーティーをするときなど、屋外に持ち出して使うシーンで活躍します。トレッキングやキャンプなどのアウトドアレジャーには特におすすめ。4〜５個をスタッキングして持っていき、料理を囲んでお酒を飲むときなどに重宝します。紙コップよりもエコで、上質な雰囲気があります。山や湖畔で飲むホットコーヒーやホットワインは最高においしいもの。カラータンブラーSだと、シェラカップでいただく味わいとはまた違ったリッチ感があります。熱いものも冷たいものも注げるのは、こういう時に便利です。

 
Due to its unique characteristics of lightweight, shatter resistance and heat proof properties, it can be used for any leisure activities including trekking and camping. Cups can be stacked four or five in a set, making it useful to be taken to outdoor parties. Also the fact that the cup is much more sustainable than disposable paper cups, adds a little bit of lavishness. Having a nice hot drink in the mountains or at the lake must be one of the delicious moments of the trip. Colour tumbler S allows you to add a flavour different that of an ordinary camping cup.

「トライタン」は、グランピングなどのアウトドアで活躍したり、レストランやラグジュアリーホテルのグラスとして採用されたりと、実は身近でたくさん使われている素材です。 しかしその製品の多くは型の継ぎ目が残っていることが多く、外観でそれとなくガラスではないとわかるものが大半です。
このカラータンブラーは、ガラス特有の透明感や量感、きらめきの再現にこだわり、本当にガラスそのものに見えるほどのクオリティに達しています。
 
 
“Tritan” actually is being used in a lot of industries including glamping, hotels and restaurants. However, many of its products still have mould seams, and most of them can be easily identified from their appearance as not being made of glass. Our Colour tumbler has been refined to the extent of reproducing the unique appearance glass to create its transparency and density.

赤はワインみたいな色。黄色や緑も鮮やかというよりは「渋い色だね」と言われるようなくすみ感で、パキッとしたポップな色ではないところに大人っぽさを感じてもらえるように作っています。 昔のグラスのデッドストックです、と言われても納得してしまいそうな、渋好みの色です。
 
 
We have deliberately coloured our tumblers in the way that users might call them “calm colours”, such as having a tint of burgundy in the red, rather subdued yellow and green which give the impression of matureness. Rather austere that, it might convince people to think that it is a vintage glassware.

Plakira ／ 石川樹脂工業

カラータンブラーを生み出しているのは、石川県の石川樹脂工業です。1947年に山中漆器の木地師としてスタートしましたが、ほどなくして樹脂を用いた外食産業向けのテーブルウエアの製造・販売へと転身。近年はカラフルで透明度の高い樹脂素材のテーブルウェアブランド「Plakira」（プラキラ）が人気を博しています。
双円のカラータンブラーはこのプラキラの製造技術を用いています。接合面を職人がひとつひとつ研磨をしてなめらかな質感を出し、ガラスに近い見た目を生み出しているのです。 特に口元には細心の注意を払っています。唇は感度が高いのでザラついているとすぐにわかるので、バーナーで処理してなめらかさを出しています。

In order to create our Colour tumbler, we have teamed up with Ishikawa Jyushi Kogyo (石川樹脂工）, which started its industry off with wood crafts for Yamanaka lacquerware. The company soon shifted to manufacturing and selling tableware made of resin for the food service industry. In recent years its resin tableware brand “Plakira” has gained popularity due to its colourful, transparent finish that drew attention. Soen has put this technology from Plakira into practice, craftsmen carefully polishing the joint surface one by one to create a smooth, glass like texture. Especially at the mouth of the cup, where the texture can easily be distinguished when used, is treated with a burner to create a smooth touch. As our colour tumblers are created with such care, they are not only beautiful but also durable. The manufacturers confidence is shown with a “lifetime non shatter insurance” which is included with the product.
